Dirigo High won its first state Class C baseball championship with a 4-2 win over Calais Saturday night at St. Joseph’s College.

The Cougars (18-2) built up a 4-0 lead through six innings and then held off the Blue Devils (15-4) who scored two wins. Righthander Ryan Lafleur allowed six hits and struck out 11 to improve his season record to 9-0. The title goes with the one Dirigo won in football.

Dylan Ramsdell led Calais with three hits.
