FREEPORT — Mary Barry, 64, died Oct. 6 at Hawthorne House.   

On Oct. 29, 1945, she was born in Quincy, Mass., a daughter of Frederick and Marjorie (Young) Barry.  

After graduating from Vermont College, she received her master’s degree from the University of Maine.

For 22 years she worked as a hospice social worker in Rockland, Portland, and St. Petersburg, Fla.

Her hobbies included knitting, quilting and reading.
 
She was previously married to Ken Weber, and later, to John Jackson.

Survivors include her three daughters, Andrea Brown and her husband Ken of Freeport, Robin Nye and her husband Jeff of Fairfield, Conn., and Joanna Mahto and her husband Kiran of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren, Molly and Noah Brown of Freeport, Alexandra and Olivia Nye of Fairfield Conn., and Liam Mahto of Portland, Ore.; five siblings, Frederick Barry of Milton, Mass., James Barry of Sandwich, Mass., Joanne Bray of Clearwater, Fla., Paul Barry of Milton, Mass., and Michael Barry of Gloucester, Mass.

Memorial services were held on Sunday.

Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
