WESTBROOK — The public will have its last chance to weigh in on a plan to manage traffic congestion in Portland’s suburbs.

The final public informational meeting of the Gorham East-West Corridor Feasibility Study is tonight from 6 to 8 at Westbrook High School.

The study, which was funded by the Maine Turnpike Authority and the Maine Department of Transportation, concludes that development strategies, an increase in use of public transportation and road improvements are all essential elements of managing traffic in this rapidly developing area.

The study looked at expected growth in Gorham, Westbrook, Scarborough and South Portland during the next 20 years.
