OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Southern Maine Community College was eliminated from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association national baseball tournament Sunday, losing 10-0 to Spalding University at The Ballpark.

Spalding (29-12), of Louisville, Ky., scored seven runs in the second inning. Kyle Barbee and Bryan Clemmons each had two-run singles in the inning. The game was stopped after six innings because of the mercy rule.

Barrett Dugger allowed two hits in six innings for Spalding, striking out eight.

Adam Hamilton and Christian Giles had the hits for SMCC, which lost 9-0 to Rochester College on Saturday. The Seawolves finished 12-24.

SELMA 8, CENTRAL MAINE C.C. 6: The Bulldogs (18-15) took advantage of two errors and a wild pitch to score three runs in the sixth inning, overcoming a 6-5 deficit to eliminate the Mustangs (6-14).

Tashland Robinson was 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs scored for Selma. Dartanyan Bourget drove in three for CMCC.
