Goldie Strassler Sambol passed away peacefully on Sept. 14 in Arundel at the age of 96. Internment will be at the New Montifiore Cemetery in Long Island, N.Y. David and Beth Strassler will observe shiva in their home at 24 Hummingbird Lane, Arundel, from Monday through Wednesday of next week. Services will be held at home at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on each day. Robert “Tash” Williams, 85, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 14, with his family at his side. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at the Southern Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road, in Springvale. Those who wish to celebrate Robert’s life and the life of his wife, Zella Louise Jacobs Williams, who passed away Dec. 28, 2005, are welcome.
