BATH — Ordinance language regulating wireless communications facilities may go before the City Council next month or in January 2012, City Planner Andrew Deci said Wednesday.

The Planning Board, which has been reviewing the language for months, voted unanimously Tuesday after almost no discussion to recommend passage to the City Council, Deci said.

The language would generally bar cell towers from open spaces and coastal areas of Bath. The prohibition would also apply to downtown areas, unless the towers are completely hidden within structures.
