• Mark Vogelzang was named president and CEO of Maine Public Broadcasting Network.

Vogelzang, 56, is a veteran of public broadcasting, having served most recently as station manager at WBFO-FM, Buffalo’s NPR member station.

Vogelzang was also president of Vermont Public Radio for 16 years, from 1993 to 2009.

Spencer Thibodeau joined Verrill Dana as a winter associate. He is currently in his second year at Northeastern University School of Law.

Nida Lopez joined KPI Direct as a marketing assistant.

Lopez previously worked at Apollo Group Inc., where she served as an education field representative.

Kayla Bickford has joined Austin Associates, PA, CPAs to provide tax and accounting services.

Bickford is a 2010 graduate of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. She has two years of experience in accounting with a small tax firm in Portland. 

Nan Cumming joined the Maine Crafts Association as its new executive director.

For the past 12 years, Cumming served as executive director of Portland Trails.

She will begin her new role Feb. 1, seeking to help expand programs and services to craft artists throughout the state.

Debra Lavoie was named executive director of Garys House, an affiliate of Mercy Health System of Maine.

Lavoie will oversee the facility’s management and carry out local outreach projects and initiatives in the community with health care providers.

Lavoie was previously the director of marketing and public relations at York County Community College.
