AUGUSTA ( AP) — Facebook is coming to Maine’s capital city to teach owners of small businesses how to increase their traffic and sales by using the social medium.

Facebook will be at the Augusta Civic Center today at U. S. Sen. Olympia Snowe’s invitation. The Maine Republican will also deliver remarks at the “Small Business Boost” event, which is co-hosted by the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and National Federation of Independent Business.

Snowe, a member of the Senate Small Business Committee, says high-tech companies like Facebook will help the nation lead the way in innovation and information technology.
