Sea Glass serves Argentinian wines

The Sea Glass restaurant at the Inn by the Sea will hold a four-course Argentinian wine dinner Feb. 23.

Maine Beer, 50 Local host dinner

Maine Beer Co. and 50 Local are teaming up for a four-course beer dinner at 6 p.m. March 1.

Salt Exchange has Mardi Gras event

Celebrate Mardi Gras with beads and bourbon Tuesday at The Salt Exchange.

The restaurant at 245 Commercial St. will be serving cuisine ranging from Southern comfort food and Brazilian tapas to Cajun- and Creole-inspired dishes during a Mardi Gras-themed evening. The menu will be a la carte.

The Salt Exchange has one of the area’s largest selections of bourbons, and will be making a wide range of Mardi Gras- and New Orleans-style cocktails for the evening.

Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Spanish wines topic at Rosemont

Cortijo wine maker David Sampedro will talk about Spanish wines from the Cortijo winery in Rioja Thursday during a wine tasting at Rosemont Market.

Sampedro will discuss the history, geography and terroir of the region as guests sample Cortijo’s wines that sell for around $10 a bottle.

The tasting will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the 580 Brighton Ave. market.

Chipotle to open second restaurant

Chipotle’s second Maine restaurant will open Tuesday at 25 Main St. in the Westbrook Crossing Shopping Center.

The restaurant’s hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Chipotle is known for its burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads made with organic beans, local produce and humanely raised meats.
