DENVER — The first stop on the Peyton Manning tour of NFL suitors is the Denver Broncos.

The team says the four-time MVP is at the Broncos headquarters Friday afternoon, meeting with club officials.

The Denver Post reported earlier that the Broncos sent a plane to Miami to pick up Manning at his home while John Elway, the vice president of football operations, coach John Fox and general manager Brian Xanders watched Oklahoma State’s pro day.

The plane then stopped to pick up the Broncos’ contingent and flew back to Denver.

A four-time MVP, Manning was released by the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday, who balked at paying a $28 million bonus on the quarterback after a series of neck injuries.

Perhaps a half-dozen or more teams are seriously interested in signing Manning.
