ALLENTOWN, Pa. — On Saturday, Laura Habecker and Charrisha Watkins each pulled off tiebreaker victories in singles play to lead the Gettysburg women’s tennis team to its fifth consecutive victory with a 6- 3 decision over visiting Muhlenberg College inside Hauser Fieldhouse.
Gettysburg ( 6- 3, 3- 0 CC) maintained its perfect record in Centennial Conference play by opening with wins at each of the top two doubles flights.
Junior Kelsey Boyce of Arrowsic clinched the victory with a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
On Friday, Gettysburg grabbed a 9-0 decision at Messiah College.
Boyce improved to 5-2 this season with an 8- 3 win at third doubles.
Junior Charrisha Watkins and Boyce cruised at the bottom two spots, the former winning 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 and the latter posting a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6.
Next up for the Bullets is a non-conference match at York (Pa.) College on Wednesday.
