Deborah Lea Xaphes, 71, of Scarborough, died on March 27, 2012 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, following a courageous battle with cancer. A 2 p.m. funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the beach at the end of Ninth Street in Scarborough. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
