BOWDOIN — Kathleen M. Boyko – age 62, of Hyde Road, went home on April 24, 2012 to be with her family members who predeceased her.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 13, 1949 the daughter of Francis Conlin and Madeline (McNamara) Conlin. She was raised by her foster parents: the late Elizabeth & Michael Weiner. Kathleen was a homemaker in her own home for many years. She was employed at Camilla Hall Nursing Home, Immaculata, PA as a CNA to the retired Catholic Nuns for several years.
Surviving is her husband, Alexander P. Boyko of Bowdoin, ME; whom she married on May 8, 1970, three sons: Alexander P. Boyko (Suzy) of Barrington, NJ, Michael P. Boyko of Bowdoin, ME and Brian P. Boyko (Nikki) of Philadelphia, PA; 16 grandchildren, her foster siblings: Robert Weiner (Judy) of Mt. Royal, NJ, Maureen McNeill (Mickey) of Philadelphia, PA, Joseph Salterelli (Lorraine), Lucille Morehead and Margaret Jackson of Philadelphia, PA. One of her foster sisters, Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Otterson (Paul), predeceased her. Also survived by five sisters: Madeline David of Philadelphia, PA, Maureen Stock (Walt) of Wernersville, PA, Paula Allen (Dave) of Laurel Springs, NJ, Edwina Quartucci (Mike) of Zephyrhills, FL and Donna Schmeltzer (Ray) of Bristol, PA; two brothers: Eddie Bortel of Alsit, IL and Donnie Bortel of Albuquerque, NM. Three sister-in-laws, Eileen McDonaugh (Mike) of Williamstown, NJ. Maryann Gallagher (Bill) of Sicklerville, NJ, and Michelle Lilley (Jeff) of Laural Springs, NJ and many special nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Friends may visit from 6-8 PM Monday April 30th at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday May 1st at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Ave., Augusta, ME. Graveside committal will follow at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, ME.
