YORK – An Ayer, Mass., man suffered leg injuries when he was hit by a pickup while trying to cross Long Beach Avenue Friday night, police said.
James Januskiewicz, 57, was taken to York Hospital after the accident, which occurred about 8:30 p.m. in front of the Oceanside Store, police said. The injuries were not considered serious, according to police.
The driver of the pickup, David Butler, 48, of York, was given a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, police said.
