The Maine Island Dance Festival takes up residency this week at Chebeague Island in Casco Bay, culminating with a public performance Saturday evening.
The festival will include daily classes in addition to the free performance, which begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at Town Hall. Daily rates are available for people who want to join for a single class or single days.

The instruction will include repertory and site-specific work on the island’s beaches and landscapes, led by Lillian Barbeito, Andrew Cowan and Holly Rothschild. All three are trained professionals, who have come together to create a program for advanced and professional dancers.
The festival runs Monday to Saturday. Classes begin daily at 9 a.m.
