RICHMOND

Three candidates will run for a vacant seat on the Board of Selectmen.

Vying for the remainder of the three-year term, which will expire June 30, is Timothy E. Arnold, Frederic W. Browne and Peter J. Warner. Nomination papers were due in the town clerk’s office Monday. Former selectmen Daniel Dunton announced to the Board of Selectmen on June 13 he was resigning due to personal and professional commitments.

On Nov. 6, Richmond voters will again be asked to vote on adopting the Maine Uniform Building Code. A proposal to adopt the uniform state building code was rejected at town meeting in April.

Polls will be open Nov. 6 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Richmond High School gymnasium.
