TOPSHAM — Shyheim Ulrickson broke out with 25 points, leading the Mt. Ararat High School boys basketball team to a come-from-behind 53-45 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over Oxford Hills on Tuesday.
The Eagles trailed 38-37 heading to the fourth quarter, but outscored the 1-1 Vikings 16-7 to secure their first win (1-1), with a visit to Erskine Academy scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.
Alex Lapierre and Mason Griffin chipped in 10 points apiece for Mt. Ararat, which trailed 11-10 after a quarter, but pulled into a 22-22 deadlock at the half.
Luke Davidson led Oxford Hills with 19 points.

Morse outscored Maranacook 15-7 down the stretch as the Shipbuilders won for the first time on Tuesday.
After an 11-11 first-quarter tie, Morse (1-1 and scheduled to host Medomak Valley on Friday) went up 23-20 at the half and the teams were tied at 36 after three quarters.
Matt Munster paced Morse with 13 points, while D’Vaughn Myers added 10 points and seven rebounds. Munster and Christopher Paulus were also defensive standouts.
Taylor Wilbur scored 16 in the loss.
At the foul line, Morse was nine of 16 and Maranacook three of seven.

In Western Maine Class D action Tuesday, Hyde (3-0) led 21-9 after one quarter, led by the strong inside play of Ryan Cassidy, who scored all 15 of his points inside the paint.
Hyde’s pressure defense allowed the Phoenix to dart out to a 16-2 lead early in the second quarter. The Phoenix led 43-16 at halftime.
Wilson MacMillan had the hot hand, hitting three 3- pointers and ending with 13 points. Nabil Eshraghian added a season-high 12 points off the bench, while Wilson Mohamed added 12 and Nabil Tstraghian 13.
Ben Burlock added six rebounds and four blocked shots, Mustapha Niang seven assists and Talin Rowe five steals and three assists.
Forrest Boucher scored 10 in the loss for Islesboro.

The host Capers pressed early, causing several turnovers en route to a Western Maine Conference win.
“We couldn’t handle their pressure, and just didn’t shoot well,” said Freeport coach Matt Cook, whose squad is 1-1 and hosts Lake Region on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Cape Elizabeth (1-1) led 22-4 after a quarter, 34-6 at the half and 56-12 after three. The Capers were paced by Chris Robicheaw’s 15 points, with Henry Babcock adding 13. Cape Elizabeth was 11 of 15 from the foul line.
Matt Schultheis had seven points for the Falcons, with Connor Dietrich adding six. Freeport was eight of 13 from the line.

The host Bucks (1-1) erased a five-point halftime deficit for an East-West Conference win over 0-2 Richmond.
Jared Eastman scored eight of his game-high 18 points in the third quarter for Buckfield.
Tyler Goyette added 15 points and blocked five shots, which Micah Madore chipped in eight points.
Randy Moody paced Richmond, which visits Rangeley on Friday at 7 p.m., with 17 points. Mike Stewart chipped in nine points, Cameron Emmons seven and Sean Bernier six.
