Joel L. Ames Sr., 61, of Blue Heron Drive in Kennebunkport, died Aug. 7, 2013 at home, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy illness. Linda R. Cole, 67, of River Road, passed away Aug. 7, 2013 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., after a long battle with liver disease. Visiting hours will be on Monday evening, Aug. 12 from 5-7 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. funeral service at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Routes 202 and 4A (13 Portland Road) in Buxton (Bar Mills). Garon E. Murphy, 38, of Little River Road in Old Orchard Beach, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Walter Anthony Preakos, 79, of Harrison and Palmetto, Fla., passed away on June 13, 2012 in Florida. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Local arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home in Saco.
