Fire alarm, no fire reported at BIW
BATH —- A ship under construction at Bath Iron Works was briefly evacuated when an employee reported smoke at 11:34 a.m. on Friday. No flames were observed. There were no injuries, and workers returned shortly after noon. Jim DeMartini, spokesman for BIW, said that there was no damage to shipyard property or the ship itself.
Truck uproots crosswalk sign
