The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide are hosting an event at JJ’s Too restaurant in Old Orchard Beach from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday. The Raging Tide front office will be at the event, including new GM Taylor Fisher, to talk about the team and the upcoming season.
The first Deering High School Pickleball Classic will be held at the school Sunday. Sanctioned by the U.S. Pickleball Association, the event includes men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Entries must be received by Wednesday. Proceeds benefit Deering’s Project Graduation. For more information, visit usapa.org.
The organizers of the Maine McDonald’s High School Senior All-Star Basketball Game are seeking nominations for the Spirit of the Game Award and the Team of the Year Award.
The Spirit of the Game Award honors two seniors – one from the East division and one from the West – who exhibit sportsmanship. Nomination forms are available at vote.mainemcdonaldsbasketball.org.
