The event is designed for families interested in learning more about how virtual schools works and if this is the right fit for their child. The Maine Connections Academy will open in September and is now enrolling students for the 2014-2015 academic year.

During the event, families will have the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Maine Connections Academy, explore the program and curriculum and learn more about the enrollment process.

The academy plans to engage certified teachers and provide an award-winning curriculum, the latest technology, engaging electives and a variety of social experiences to create a supportive and successful online learning program for students seeking an individualized approach to education.

As a public charter school, there are no fees or tuition charged.

Learning from home, Maine Connection Academy students will work closely with teachers using detailed and personalized daily lesson plans.
