BRUNSWICK
Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick has been named Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems’ Best Performer in the categories of Overall Rating, Willingness to Recommend, Communication with Doctors and Care Transition Composites (Medium Hospital) by the national ranking Company Avatar.
The hospital announced the awards Tuesday in a press release.
Parkview received the high ranking from patients who took a standardized survey, capturing their perspectives on hospital care. The survey’s purpose is to provide the public with comparable information on hospital quality.
“We are honored to again be honored by Avatar,” said Randee Reynolds, Parkview’s president and CEO. “Since opening our doors in 1959, Parkview’s focus has been all about our patients; understanding their needs and taking care of them until they can return home. That’s what is so thrilling about these awards — they are a direct result of how we treat our patients.”
Avatar reviewed the results and ranked all of the hospitals around the country within the same bed size range that administered the HCAHPS survey for 12 consecutive months.
Parkview Adventist Medical Center, an acute-care hospital, will be recognized at a regional Avatar awards event in the fall.
