The 32nd annual Moxie Festival will take place from July 11 – July 13 in Lisbon and Lisbon Falls. Moxie, that enigmatic soft drink, will be the star, of course, but there are plenty of other events in several venues throughout Lisbon and Lisbon Falls.

The events kick off on Friday, with an auction to benefit Lisbon Community School, Moxie ice cream, a family fun night, the Historical Society’s open house, an open mic night, a library book sale, dance studio performance, a Moxie Recipe contest, a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, a Bath Municipal Band performance, and a fireworks display.

On Saturday, the Moxie Festival Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Before that, try the pancake breakfast at the Masonic Hall!There will also be a bike rally and a 5K fun run and road race, and vintage baseball. The book sale continues, everything Moxie will be on sale, live entertainment, the Moxie Chug-In Challenge, the “Moxie Congress”, the fireman;s muster, plenty of food, a petting zoo and pony rides, and the Moxie Concert in the Park, featuring “Scarab: The Journey Experience”.

On Sunday, there will be a car show, the Chief Worumbo Androscoggin River Race, and a Moxie pulled pork lunch.

Throughout the festival, there will be the carnival and carnival games.
