LEWISTON (AP) — Officials say 11 families have been displaced after a threealarm fire ripped through an apartment building in Lewiston.

Flames broke out Tuesday evening at the apartment building downtown.

Fire crews from neighboring towns including Auburn and Sabattus responded to the scene to help get the fire under control.

Officials say everyone inside made it out safely.

The Red Cross is providing the displaced families with food, clothing and emergency shelter.
