Amy is survived by her mother, nephews Mark Daniel Tripp and Jeremy Ryan Tripp, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and her three cats Cole, Rascal and Sticky.
Amy enjoyed sports, playing the piano, working with kids and always had a smile for everyone. She graduated from Mt. Ararat High School, Topsham, in 1988, she held many sports awards. She graduated from USM in the late ’90s. She loved to volunteer and wanted to pay the community back for all it had done for her. Amy had lots of friends and family that loved to be around her.
Amy had a special place in many people’s hearts. She will be missed by all who knew her. May she be at peace.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
