BATH — Ruth L. Robson, 89, a resident of The Plant Home, died Jan. 19 at Mid Coast Senior Health Care in Brunswick.

She was born in Orono on April 23, 1925, a daughter of Edmund Sr. and Della Commeau St. Peter. She grew up in Bath and was educated at Bath schools, graduating from Morse High School in the class of 1942.

She worked at Bath Iron Works for several years before moving to Billerica, Massachusetts. There, she worked at Penn Culvert Co. for many years, retiring in 1988.

On July 13, 1991, she married Raymond Robson Sr., and the couple made their home in Woolwich.

Ruth was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Bath, and a member of VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Robson was known for her willingness to do anything to help her family or those in need. She enjoyed bingo, playing slot machines at Foxwoods casino, Chinese food, and especially her cat, Boots.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, who died March 2, 2011; sister, Theresa St. Peter; and her brother, Edmund St. Peter Jr.

Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Rammage, her husband, John, and their daughter, Michelle O’Neill, all of New Boston, New Hampshire; stepchildren, Raymond Robson Jr., of Woolwich, Swanton Robson and wife, Lori, of Woolwich, Pamela Robson, of Cumberland, Sandra Coolidge and husband, Kevin, of Rhode Island, Janice Robson, of Yarmouth, and Margaret MacDonald and husband, Matthew, of New Hampshire; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Jan. 23 at St. Mary’s Church.
