DAMARISCOTTA — Joseph “Joe” Robinson, 65, of Damariscotta, passed away at the Maine Medical Center on the evening of March 22, 2015. Born on July 1, 1949, in Bath, he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances Robinson.

Joe was born and raised in Bath, attended schools there and graduated from Morse High School in 1967. He entered the National Guard at the age of 18 and served for about 15 years. Upon his honorable discharge, he went to work and held various positions with the Bath Fire Department and the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department.

For the last 20 years he fished for a living; doing what he loved most, lobstering along the coast of Maine. It was a profession he was proud to be a part of, and was a founding member of the North End Lobster Co- Op in Westport.

When not on the water, he enjoyed watching various sporting events on TV. Whether it was NASCAR, football or baseball, he loved watching whatever was on. He was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting and fishing, but more than anything, he loved being on the salt water.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dyan Robinson of Damariscotta; daughter, Heather Dube and her husband Michael of Woolwich; son, Jody Robinson of Damariscotta; two grandchildren, Hilary Dube of Portland and Kate Dube of Woolwich; his sister-in-law, Laurel Grady of Jefferson; and his two dogs, Pogie and Shaq.
