Two Brunswick residents were among the 1,664 students to earn degrees from Boston University in January. Sydney D. Ford graduated with a Master of Public Health in Global Health, and Austin M. Gay graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Maine Maritime Academy in Castine released its 2014 fall semester dean’s list. Among the 380 students were several from the Midcoast. They include: Samuel Bessey, Norman Parent, Evan Turmenne and Oliver Zrioka, all of Brunswick; Kurt Carlson of Topsham; Daniel Chasse and Aaron Doughty, both of Phippsburg; Allyson Fuehrer of Freeport; Joel Harris of Bath; Shane Lizotte of Durham; Nathan Mackenzie of Bowdoinham; Katrina Raymond of Pownal; Tyler Tardif of West Bath; and Hayley Todd of Woolwich.

A number of Mid-coast students made the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester at the University of Maine at Farmington. They were: Allison Bailey, Emily Franklin and Mackenzie Yeaton, all of Bath; Emily Eldridge and Rachel Glynn, both of Bowdoin; Sasha Hampton, Katherine Liscovitz, Destiny Merrill and Vivian Zinni, all of Brunswick; Nathaniel Fritts of Durham; Shaylee Sibley of Edgecomb; Samuel Bennett, Christopher Forest and Wyatt McCurdy, all of Freeport; Lauren Crosby of Georgetown; Connor Lynch and Margaret Thomas, both of Harpswell; Mary Conlon, Minarva Craig, Katherine Lemieux and Lindsey Whitney, all of Lisbon; Lacey Campbell, Meghan Fogg, Ashley Libby and Meghan Schofield, all of Topsham; and Lauren Trudeau of Wiscasset.

Junior Mitchell Black of Brunswick and senior Benjamin Forster of Freeport have both been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester at Tufts University in Medford, Massachussets. Students must have a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater to make the list.
