BATH — Zidane McMurrin tallied four goals and dished out an assist as the Morse High School boys soccer team rolled to its second straight Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win, 7- 0 over Spruce Mountain on McMann Field on Saturday.

The Shipbuilders improved to 2-3 and visit Leavitt on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Tucker Banger, Dakota Freeman and Declan Hall added one goal each in the win. Collin McCarthy dished out three assists, with one helper apiece going to Lucas Brown and Cameron Marco.

“ Overall a much more solid possession skills game for us,” said Morse coach Chuck Reece, whose Shipbuilders also missed on two penalty-kick opportunities. “ We are gaining confidence every time out.”

RICHMOND 7

The host Bobcats celebrated Homecoming weekend with an East- West Conference win over Valley on Saturday.

Cody Tribbet had three goals, while Brendan Emmons added two goals, an assist and made two saves in net when he took over for Zach Small ( three saves) midway through the second half.

Tribbet and Emmons each scored a goal to give Richmond (3-0) a 7-0 halftime lead. Emmons made it 3- 0 before Tribbet scored two straight to put the game out of reach. Ford Strout (assisted by Nate Vintinner) and Nick Adams ( one goal, one assist) completed the scoring.

Dillon Beane had 10 saves for Valley (2-4).

Richmond, which visits Buckfield on Tuesday at 4 p. m., held a 14- 0 edge in corner kicks.

FREEPORT 2

GRAY- NG 1

The Falcons avenged a 4-0 home loss nine days earlier with a Western Maine Conference win at Gray on Saturday.

Freeport (1-3-1) received a goal in each half from Jack Davenport in the win, while goaltender Joey Burke made 10 saves.

Liam Stewart scored the lone goal for the Patriots (2-2-1).

Freeport visits Fryeburg Academy on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

LISBON 1

MONMOUTH 2

The host Mustangs handed the Greyhounds (5-1) their first loss in Mountain Valley Conference action on Saturday.

Chandler Harris broke a 1-1 tie late in the first half, and Monmouth (6-1) was able to hold on in the second half.

It was a quick turnaround for Lisbon, which visited Wiscasset Friday afternoon. Saturday’s game began at noon.

Gage Cote scored on a breakaway to give Monmouth a 1- 0 lead, but Lisbon answered as Austin Fournier converted a penalty kick.

Lisbon, which hosts Mt. Abram on Thursday at 3:30 p.m., received 10 saves from netminder Jonah Sautter.
