Sally-Ann Clark, 89, homemaker and adventurer died on May 23rd at Mid Coast Senior health Center in Brunswick after a long battle with dementia.

Sally grew up in Newton MA and attended Colby Junior College and Syracuse University. She loved skiing, swimming, canoeing and many other outdoor sports and travel adventures. Sally married a Coast Guard officer, William E. Clark in 1951 at the Church Around the Corner in Manhattan. After moving to Virginia and Florida during their Coast Guard service years, Sally and Bill settled in River Vale NJ where they lived for 47 years. Sally was a devoted mother, leading Girl Scouts, and volunteering at the hospital. She loved sewing, crafts and cats, and her sense of humor and zest for life and travel was with her to the end of her days.

Sally and Bill also had a camp on Long Lake where Sally volunteered for NAMI and was an enthusiastic Red Hatter. She loved the Lakes Region and will be buried in the town cemetery in Harrison. A service will be held at First Parish Church in Brunswick on June 1 at 11 AM and a celebration of life will follow in the summer in Harrison- date to be determined. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Bill Clark of Brunswick, her son David Clark of Seattle and her daughter Robin Thomas also of Seattle WA.
