Now more than ever we must elect representatives in our government that understand what it means to operate within the constraints of a balanced budget. Fiscal responsibility and accountability cannot simply be buzzwords used while campaigning. They have to be supported by policy and practice.

As a senior citizen living on a fixed income I have to make difficult decsions regarding where and when to spend my money. Food, shelter and clothing are necessities that I cannot do without. Going out to dinner and on vacation are luxuries. I expect the same manner of discernment between wants and needs from my elected officials as they vote on budget items.

Sen. Amy Volk supports fiscally conservative policies that do just that. That is why I am supporting her to serve another term as our state senator for District 30. I encourage you to do the same.
