PORTLAND

The Altoona Curve (68-55) won the completion of an Eastern League suspended game over the Portland Sea Dogs (47-75), 2-1 on Thursday night at Hadlock Field.

Portland answered with a 2- 1 win in Thursday’s regularly scheduled game. Both games were completed in seven innings.

The suspended game resumed with Altoona leading 2- 0 in the bottom of the fourth inning and Mauricio Dubon on second base for Portland. After a walk to Ryan Court , Cody Decker hit a sacrifice fly to score Dubon and cut the Curve lead to 2-1.

The Sea Dogs failed to muster any more runs against Miguel Rosario ( 3- 1) or Montana DuRapau, who earned his 23rd save.

The duo combined to allow just two baserunners for the remainder of the game.

Teddy Stankiewicz ( 4- 8) allowed two runs on a homer by Barrett Barnes in four innings before being lifted as a result of the game being suspended on Tuesday.

In the nightcap, Court delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth off of Cody Dickson (10-5) to provide the game-winning runs in the Sea Dogs’ victory.

Altoona plated the game’s first run in the second inning on an RBI double by Stetson Allie off of Kevin McAvoy ( 8- 7) to score Anderson Feliz.

McAvoy kept the Curve of f the scoreboard for the remainder of the game to earn his second complete game victory of the season with just five hits allowed in seven innings, walking three and striking out four.

Dickson recorded his first complete game of the season in the loss, allowing two runs on six hits in six innings while walking two and striking out four.

The Sea Dogs travel to Binghamton to face the Mets for a three-game series beginning tonight.
