SACO — Lucille C. Langevin, 87, formerly of Biddeford, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at Seal Rock Health Care in Saco.
           She was born July 25, 1929, in St. Etienne, P.Q. Canada, daughter of Valmore and Irene (Roy) Desautels and was educated there. Lucille came to Biddeford in 1964 and was married to Richard Langevin at St. Joseph’s Church in 1966.
           She was an active parishioner of St. Andre’s and St. Joseph’s parishes and had been a Eucharistic minister for many years. She worked at St. Joseph’s Convent for 18 years and prior to that was a daycare provider and seamstress. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and swam every day at the “Y” (except Sunday) until she was 78. Gardening and canning were an important part of her summer and fall activities.
           She was preceded in death by: her husband Richard, Sept. 14, 2008; and also her three sisters, Gilberte, Claire and Anne, and her brother, Gilles all from Canada.
           She is survived by: her son, David Langevin and his life partner Tricia Walker of Biddeford; her two daughters, Claire Sweetman and her husband Jim of Madison, Connecticut, and Lynn Rondo and her life partner Danny McKinley of Old Orchard Beach; and her beloved grandchildren, CJ, Josh, Alyssa, Ashleigh, Justin and Brayden. She’s also survived by: her two brothers, Jean Louis and Jean Noel Desautels of Canada; and many nieces, nephews and cousins both in the U.S. and Canada.
           Visiting hours will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
