THE BRUNSWICK SOCCER CLUB U12 boys won the Maine State Division 1 championship in Freeport recently. In divisional play, Brunswick beat Cumberland, 8-2, and Midcoast, 3-1, to advance to the pool championship game, where the U12s defeated LAYSA, 2-1, in a penalty-kick shootout. The Dragons then beat Gorham, 3-0, in the state semifinal game and defeated Acadia, 4-2, to capture the Maine State Championship.
