KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware was ruled out of Sunday’s game against Jacksonville with a concussion, though wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and defensive tackle Jaye Howard will be available.

Maclin returned to practice Friday after tweaking his hamstring earlier in the week, while Howard was back after dealing with a hip injury he suffered last weekend against Indianapolis.

Alex Smith had already been ruled out with a head injury. Nick Foles will start at quarterback.

Others ruled out include offensive lineman Parker Ehinger, who has a knee injury that could be season-ending, and cornerback D.J. White, who is recovering from a fractured hand.

DOLPHINS: Tight ends Dion Sims and Jordan Cameron were ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Jets because both are still in the concussion protocol.

Cameron has missed the past four games and Sims has missed one game.

PACKERS: Linebacker Datone Jones was fined $36,464 by the NFL for his roughing-the-passer penalty against Atlanta last week.

Jones is a repeat offender, resulting in the large fine doled out by the league. Last Sunday, Jones hit Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan in the first half of Atlanta’s 33-32 victory.

RAMS: Cornerback Trumaine Johnson hopes to return from a high ankle sprain for Sunday’s game against Carolina.

Johnson was limited in practice this week, but Coach Jeff Fisher said it was only because the Rams were being cautious with their highest-paid player. The team will wait until game time to decide whether Johnson will play.

VIKINGS: Minnesota ruled left guard Alex Boone and middle linebacker Eric Kendricks out of its game against Detroit because of concussions.

Neither Boone nor Kendricks practiced at all this week. Boone also was listed on the injury report with shoulder and knee issues. This will be the first absence of the season for each player when the Vikings (5-2) host the Lions (4-4) on Sunday.

TITANS: Tight end Delanie Walker will be a game-time decision Sunday at San Diego after sitting out practice with a groin injury.

Walker, hurt during Thursday’s practice, leads the Titans (4-4) with 28 receptions for 405 yards and three touchdowns. Walker previously missed the loss to Oakland in Week 3 with a hamstring injury.

STEELERS: Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is still in the mix to return Sunday at Baltimore.

BROWNS: Rookie quarterback Cody Kessler will start Sunday against Dallas.

BRONCOS: Denver will be without cornerback Aqib Talib, who received a cortisone injection in his lower back, for its Sunday night showdown with Oakland.

JETS: Center Nick Mangold is doubtful to play Sunday at Miami because of a sprained ankle that also sidelined him last weekend.
