SEN. SUSAN COLLINS, R-Maine has broken her ankle after a slip in Bangor. In a posting to her Facebook page, Maine’s senior senator wrote: “Due to a slip on the ice, both Rob Gronkowski and I will be on Injured Reserve for the playoffs,” referencing the New England Patriots tight end, who has been sidelined for the season after a back injury. She wrote: “My ankle was broken in two places, but thanks to a successful surgery at St. Joseph Hospital with Dr. Jacob Brooks and his team, I am on the road to recovery.” The Portland Press Herald reports Collins, 64, does not expect to miss any time in Congress.
