BRUNSWICK — MacKenzie Burrows and Rosalie White dominated the post play, combining for 24 points as Brunswick defeated the Leavitt Hornets, 49-28, in a high school junior varsity girls basketball game recently.
The Dragons bolted to a 12-6 lead in the opening quarter, led 27-12 at the half, and pressured the Hornets all over the court. Anna Kousky, Alexis Guptill, Izzy Banks and Tanisha McKenzie were catalysts on the defensive end for Brunswick, teaming up for 20 steals that produced 14 transition points in the half.
Leavitt was led offensively by Amber Kelly and McKenna Redstone with six points apiece.
Grace Clendening added eight points and eight rebounds for the Dragons.
