BIDDEFORD — Bernadette Anita (Potvin) Valliere, 81, a long time resident of Biddeford, passed away peacefully , surrounded by her family on Saturday morning, June 23, 2018,  at caring and loving community of Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. .

She was born in Biddeford, on Dec. 18, 1936, a daughter of Perley and Laurette (Paradis) Potvin. She was the youngest of four children. She married her beloved husband of 56 years Marcel Valliere on May 30, 1962. They raised their son Christopher Keith Valliere in Biddeford.

A graduate of St. Joseph High School, she worked for York Bottling Company for three years. She then was employed as an office manager for Roy and Perreault Oil Company for 40 years.

Bernie nourished people around her with love and faith. Her faith was so important to her that she attended a weekly adoration group to be in the presence of the blessed sacrament.

Bernie lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; socializing with family and friends. Bernie had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep positive way.

Bernie was a wonderful woman that was loved, will be missed and will always be cherished.

She is survived by her beloved husband Marcel Valliere, her son Christopher Valliere and his wife Keri, her grandson Justin Valliere and her granddaughter Jordan Valliere and many nieces and nephews who brought great joy to her life.

Visiting Hours will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Biddeford.
