ARUNDEL — Born on Dec. 15, 1929 in Topsham, Maine, Margaret Webb passed away on July 4, 2018.
Known to her family and friends as Peggy, she was the eldest daughter of the late Nancy Dow of Portland, Maine, and the eldest granddaughter of her grandparents from Falkirk, Scotland.
She is survived by three sons, one daughter and a small army of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Peggy grew up in Portland, Maine and met her husband Bill at her first job working at Hay’s Drugstore on Upper Congress Street in Portland. They married, honeymooned in New York City and moved to Sherborn, Massachusetts, where they raised their family and were part of the Gulf Oil organization for 35 years.
Peggy was very active in the community, volunteering at St. Andrew’s Church in Framingham, Massachusetts, Sherborn Swim Team, Little league, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and a variety of community causes sponsored by the Dover Sherborn Regional school system. Peggy leaves many siblings, nieces and nephews from Maine to California. She enjoyed meeting and talking with each and every one of them. She did not use social media, instead she practiced old school face to face conversation and interaction.
