Brunswick — Christopher Alan Gibb, 40, of Dionne Circle died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Bath on May 26, 1978, a son of Kenneth W. Jr. and Paula M. (MacPhee) Gibb.

He attended Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School in the class of 1996. He entered the U.S. Army in 1996 serving in the 82nd Airborne and two tours in Iraq. On February 5, 2010 he married Desiree Rohrer. He was a devoted and loving family man that enjoyed spending any time with his family and friends.

He enjoyed deer hunting, ice fishing, bass fishing with his Dad, any fishing with Uncle David especially on Moosehead Lake, and fishing with his best buddy, Joe Tipsword.

He is survived by his wife, Desiree Gibb of Brunswick, father, Kenneth Gibb Jr. and stepmother, Margaret R. Gibb, one son, Colton W. Gibb of Brunswick, one stepson, Connor R. Heath of Brunswick, sister, Sarah A. Hurlburt and her husband Ben of Tusket, Nova Scotia, grandparents, Joan and James MacPhee of North Bath and grandmother, Emma Mead of Brunswick, three very special nephews, Boston, Camden and Owen Hurlburt, one very special niece, Gwen Hurlburt, mother in law, Pamela K. Brown and her husband Sam of Brunswick, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother Paula M. Gibb on September 26, 2003.

Visiting hours will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the American Legion, Congress Ave., Bath.  Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath in the spring with military honors.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at jdrf.org or JDRF, 26 Broadway, 14th floor, New York, NY, 10004.
