Cindy MacPhee

SCARBOROUGH – On May 4, 2021, Cindy MacPhee passed away peacefully at the Gosnell House in Scarborough, Maine, with her two children Ian and Heather by her side. She was 60 years old.

Cindy was born in Portland, Maine, on Aug. 31, 1960, and lived in Maine all of her life. She was an exceptional hairstylist for 30 years before running two bed and breakfasts in Portland, Maine, prior to her death. She loved being in nature, reading, being around animals, and spending time with her grandson, Aiden, who was her pride and joy.

She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret “Peggy” Beaudoin, her sister, Pamela Dee Brawn, and her self-described “life-partner”, Tyler “Tuppy” MacPhee, her dog. She is survived by her two children, her son, Ian MacPhee, her daughter, Heather MacPhee, and her grandson, Aiden Roberts.

Cindy was not only a fierce mother and grandmother but an extraordinary human being. Her one-of-a-kind personality, selfless character, sense of humor, radiant smile, and giant heart touched the lives of many throughout her life. She left an impression on this world more than she realized. She will never be forgotten.

She will be laid to rest at Dow’s Corner Cemetery in Standish, Maine. A celebration of her life will be held later in the year.

Donations can be made to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in her memory https://arlgp.org/make-a-gift/donate/.
