SOUTH PORTLAND – Sandra Panenka, 80, of South Portland, passed away peacefully with loving family present after a long illness on Jan. 4, 2026, in Falmouth. Sandra was born in Braintree, Mass., to Herman and Margaret Waldecker on Jan. 13, 1945. Sandra is survived by her husband George Panenka, son Nick and wife Cathy Panenka, daughter Erin Tanguay and husband Chris, brother Peter and sister-in- law Mary Waldecker, and grandchildren, Miles and Rosie Panenka.Visitation will be at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., followed by a service at noon on Jan. 17, 2026, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.
