Roger A. Wallace

WINCHENDON, Mass. – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger A. Wallace. A loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, just four days prior to his 63 birthday.

Roger grew up in Bath and was a graduate of Morse High School before moving to Massachusetts in his adult years.

He is survived by his loving mother, Gladys Sweeney of Brunswick; his four sisters, Eunice, Priscilla, Teresa, Tracy and half-brother, Scott, four stepsiblings, Robert, Lynda, Matt, and Anna; as well as several nieces and nephews; his wife Kim; sons DJ, Ben and a daughter, Izzy.

He was a dedicated employee of the Acton, Mass., Police Department from 2001 until the time of his death 2026. He served as a 911 dispatcher for 25 years and was known by his community for his comforting voice during their most difficult of times. In his younger years, he served as a special officer for the town of Acton, Mass. further reflecting his life long commitment to helping and serving others. He took great pride in being someone people could depend on, a value he carried into every part of his life. He had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest.

Roger was also known for his kind and loving ways and his ability to take on any situation with a sense of calmness and ease. He had a sense of living and loving life to the fullest. He will truly be missed by his many family members and friends.

A memorial service will follow in the spring.
