Richard William Couch
FALMOUTH – Richard William Couch, born Dec. 20, 1949, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life marked by generosity, compassion, and quiet accomplishment.
Richard is survived by his best friend and former wife, Claudia Couch; his son, Mark Gregory; his cousins, Janet Ferrara, Brian Fox, Gregory Fox, and Cynthia Frommelt; and the many friends he made along the way.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Willard Couch, his mother, Genevieve Couch; and his sister, Susan Couch.
He grew up in Paterson, N.J., and later moved to Mount Pocono, Pa., where he attended high school.
Richard spent many years working to help build the cable television industry before later starting his own marketing company. Though he found success in his professional life, he was never one to seek recognition for his achievements. After retiring, he quietly dedicated himself to giving back, generously offering his time and resources to organizations that support both people and animals.
Richard had a special place in his heart for dogs, especially his own – Bingo, Jack, Jasper, and Mary – and was deeply committed to their well-being. He did all he could to ensure that no dog would go hungry or without a home, a reflection of the compassion and kindness that defined his character.
In his personal life, Richard enjoyed sailing, cars, photography, good food, and stimulating conversation – simple pleasures that brought him great joy.
He will be remembered for his humility, his generosity, his loyalty to those he loved, and his enduring care for those who could not care for themselves.
