OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Chris Tene (Granville) Graves, 75, passed away peacefully on Dec. 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Chris was born on April 24, 1950, in Springfield, Mass., to Edward and Charlotte (Davis) Granville. She grew up in Vernon, Conn., and later attended Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine, graduating in 1968. As a young woman, she enjoyed horseback riding, and in later years she found comfort at home surrounded by her beloved cats and dogs.

Chris spent countless hours walking the beaches of Maine, collecting sea glass that she lovingly transformed into art and home décor. She also took great pride in her family’s history, particularly in her father and uncles, who were instrumental in developing the Gee Bee Model R Super Sportster airplane.

Chris was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Charlotte Granville; and by her sister, Laura Lang.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Gagne and his partner Lorraine Noyes of Brownfield; two grandsons, Garret Gagne and Greysen Gagne of Conway, N.H.; as well as two nieces, Erin Crowley and Hillary Lang.
