Janet (Partridge) Cheney
OCALO, Fla. – Janet (Partridge) Cheney, 93, passed away on Jan. 10, 2026, in Ocala, Fla. following a brief illness. She was born on March 4, 1932, in Milo, Maine. Janet spent most of her life in South Portland.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Harold Cheney in 2001; her parents Arthur and Hattie Partridge; and brother Ralph Partridge.
Janet is survived by her children Cynthia Kidder and husband David, Carolyn Dube and husband Francis, Kevin Cheney and his partner Lena Milligan; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Rose Marie Partridge.
She enjoyed shopping and Saturday morning yard sales with her friends in South Portland. Janet loved a GOOD BARGAIN and usually bought things whether she needed the item or not. To her, a good sale was a good sale! Collecting novelty spoons and knick-knacks from various places she visited was another hobby she enjoyed.
Friends and family may attend the burial and service at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland, Saturday, July 11, at 10 a.m.
