OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Edward D. Davis, 78, of Pine Avenue, passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Ed was born on Aug. 20, 1947, in Morton, Pa., the youngest son of Thomas and Marie (Finney) Davis. He attended school in Ridley Township, Pa., and graduated there before proudly serving in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972. During his military service, he was stationed in Germany.

Following his honorable discharge, Ed returned home and married the love of his life, Carolyn, on Sept. 1, 1973. The couple moved to Maine in 1974, where they built their life together. Ed worked as a stockroom manager for Gabriel Electronics from 1980 to 1998. He later worked at Martin’s Point and served the community as a school bus driver.

Ed will be remembered as a kind, easygoing, and good-humored husband and father whose greatest joy came from making others smile. He loved entertaining family and friends with his impressions of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and John Wayne. A lifelong student of American history, Ed enjoyed reading books, watching films, and learning about World War II, the Civil War, and the American West. He also found great satisfaction in collecting, repairing, and painting model trains.

Above all, Ed was a devoted husband, father, and provider. He was always willing to set aside his own plans to help a family member, friend, or neighbor in need. His generosity, dependability, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years, Carolyn Marie (Lamparski) Davis; his parents, Thomas and Marie Davis; his brothers Thomas W. Davis and Robert E. Davis; and his twin sister, Christine.

He is survived by his sons Edward John Davis of Old Orchard Beach, and Nathaniel Paul Davis and his wife, Jeni, of Naples, Fla.; as well as his three cherished granddaughters, Charlotte, Angeline, and Olivia Davis.
