NEW HIRES
Julia Frederick joined the team at Mitchell & Associates as a senior landscape designer. Frederick worked as a project manager for Stephen Stimson Associates Landscape Architects in Massachusetts before her recent move to Maine.

 

Sebago Technics hired four new design professionals.
Amber Ferland joined as a civil engineer. She brings experience as a project manager for a municipal public works department. Most recently, she was a staff engineer for a national engineering firm.

 

Richard Stone joined as CAD technician/3D modeler. He completed an internship with the city of South Portland, where he modeled various infrastructure facilities.

Michael Gammon was hired as a GIS technician. Gammon brings experience in GPS data collection, utility mapping and database management.

 

 

Daniel Danvers was hired as a landscape designer. Danvers previously worked at a landscape design firm in Rhode Island.

Sebago Technics also hired two new construction inspectors.
Michael Bourque joined as field engineer/inspector. He brings experience in construction inspection, project management, materials testing and quality control that he gained while working for inspection and materials testing companies.

 

Philip Lowe was hired as a senior inspector. Lowe brings more than 45 years of construction management and engineering experience. He is a member of the Sebago Board of Selectmen and spent five years on the Planning Board.

 

Seth Goucher joined Sebago Technics as director of geomatics. Goucher previously worked for Cianbro, where he started their laser scanning services.

Nicole Scott also joined Sebago Technics as an engineer in its transportation group. Scott previously worked for a Maine traffic consulting firm.

 

 

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland rehired Dana Whitney as finance director. Whitney is responsible for overall accounting at Habitat and its retail store, the ReStore. Whitney previously worked for the affiliate until February.

Husson University named Bill Watson as general manager of its southern Maine operation in Westbrook. Watson is director of Husson’s internship and partners program. Before joining Husson, he was president of a Canon technology company.

Heather McNally joined Chase Custom Homes and Finance as a code compliance and subdivision planning specialist. McNally has been in the construction and building inspection fields for 26 years. She previously served as the director of code enforcement and zoning administration in Windham. In 2017, she founded a home inspection business called Safe Harbor Inspection Services.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England announced that Patricia Lanoue has affiliated with the company’s Saco office as a sales associate. Lanoue will provide residential real estate services in York and Cumberland counties.

PROMOTIONS
S. Catherine Longley, J.D., will be promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer at the The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor effective July 1. Longley has served as vice president and chief financial officer of the laboratory since August 2016. She also serves as the institutional official for animal welfare and chairs JAX’s 403(b) Retirement Plan Committee.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
The Maine Sports Commission recently elected three new members to its board of directors: Carolann Ouellette, Johnny Mehler and Nick Cormier.
Ouellette is executive director of Maine Huts & Trails in Kingfield and a returning board member.
Mehler is a marketing specialist with Spectrum Healthcare Partners, where he created campaigns and training tools for the statewide organization of physicians.
Cormier is the operations coordinator at Broadreach Public Relations in Portland, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm.
