Harpswell’s Emma Vennard, who represents the American Flyers gymnastics team out of the Maine Academy of Gymnastics in Westbrook, recently qualified for the USAG Level 9 Eastern Championships, which will be held in Kissimmee, Florida. Vennard placed second all-around at the recent regional championships in Springfield, Massachusetts, winning the beam and floor and taking fourth on bars and fifth in the vault.
