The Bourke identity
On May 26, at around 2:30, a female reported that her Dooney & Bourke purse was stolen from a cart at Hannaford Supermarket. The total value, including a Nokia cell phone and keys to a Land Rover, was $375.
Lost and found
On May 26, at around 7 p.m., a 6-year-old girl was reported missing from Pine Point Beach. She was found shortly after at the end of Oak Street in Old Orchard Beach.
Between a rock and a hard place
On May 27, at around 1:30 a.m., a window at Countryside Butchers on County Road was smashed by a rock. No entry was made. The damage totaled $800.
Brother’s keeper
On May 27, at around 8:30 p.m., two males and two females were kicked out of Beech Ridge Speedway for drinking in the stands. The foursome remained in the parking lot and were informed by police that they would be arrested if they did not leave the property. After one man was arrested, his brother showed up at the scene and grabbed a police officer by the shirt. He was then arrested for assault.
You’ve got mail
On May 28, around 10 a.m., a mailbox and post valued at $100 was reported stolen from a residence on Snow Road. Around 11:30, a mailbox valued at $20 was stolen from a home next door.
Stocking up
On May 30, at around 7:45 p.m., a male shoplifter was stopped at Wal-Mart carrying baseball hats, glue, putty, jewelry, bandanas, candy bars and movies. After dropping the items, he escaped.
